Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients
Swiss Bear Spicy Korean BBQ Sauce | 500g |
Garlic, finely chopped | 50g |
Oil | 3 tbsp |
Water | 100g |
Soy sauce | 20g |
Honey | 150g |
Chicken thigh | 500g |
Egg | 1 nos |
All-purpose flour | 100g |
Corn starch | 50g |
Salt & black pepper | ½ tsp |
STEP 1
Sautee garlic with oil over low heat until fragrant and slightly golden.
STEP 2
Combine water, soy sauce and Swiss Bear Spicy Korean Barbeque Sauce. Mix well and add into the garlic.
STEP 3
Turn the heat to medium and bring the sauce to a simmer while stirring constantly.
STEP 4
Once the simmer, turn off the heat and stir in honey. Set aside.
STEP 5
Cut chicken thigh into bite size chunks and combine with 1 egg in a bowl. Mix well.
STEP 6
On a tray, whisk together flour, corn starch, salt and pepper.
STEP 7
Lightly coat the chicken chunks in the flour mixture and shake of the excess.
STEP 8
Heat up a pot of oil to 175˚C and fry the chicken for 2-3 mins until golden brown. Set aside to drain on excess oil.
STEP 9
In a large bowl, add in fried chicken and 100g of the sauce. Gently toss to mix.
STEP 10
Keep the rest of the sauce in the fridge for future use.
